Description
Yes, this is a huge, square, Vintage Polish Goralska Chusta (scarf) made of fine Thibet Cloth (Pure goat’s hair Wool). It is also a lot more than that to the “right” buyer.
This scarf comes from Poland’s highest mountains, the Tatra mountains. The fabric was made by made by Tibetans in Asia; the scarf itself was made by the Tatra’s gorale (indigenous inhabitants of the Tatra mountains) and as such can be considered a piece of ethnic textile art. A Vintage Polish Goralska Chusta Made Of Fine Thibet Cloth like this one is a part of the locals’ ethnic costume. Years ago, scarves like this were made of fine Pure Wool called “Thibet cloth”. There are many acrylic and cotton imitations of the original Wool Goralska Chusta mass-produced today, this ISN’T one of them; this is the REAL THING.
