Victor Costa Vintage Evening Gown

$325.00

This is a spectacular, floor-length, strapless Victor Costa Vintage Evening Gown from the 70’s-80’s. It was designed by the famed fashion designer Victor Costa and sold by the upscale department store Neiman Marcus.

This Victor Costa Vintage Evening Gown is made of iridescent taffeta. Its color is difficult to define: imagine rich purple touching upon chocolate brown and shimmering like a metallic… The Vintage Taffeta Evening Gown is strapless and features a seashell bodice. The ruffle adorning chest area is origami pleated and so is the very rim of the full circle skirt. There’s a belt at the waist of this Magical Vintage Ball Gown and a long zipper in the back. (Surprisingly, the gown has two side pockets which don’t add volume but provide welcome storage for a lipstick, handkerchief, etc.!)

The luxurious, iridescent fabric (taffeta) is very expensive and has a fabulous “feel”; better yet, it makes a gorgeous rustling sound when you move… You feel and look like a princess! Even though I called it a Vintage Evening Gown, it really is a Magical Vintage Ball Gown: the design is super-flattering; your upper body will seem to emerge from a flower while the lower body will retain complete freedom…. The fabric is an experience in luxury (it’s not only what it looks like but how it feels on your body and remember, you act the way you feel!) The workmanship alone is something you don’t see anymore.
This magnificent Vintage Taffeta Evening Gown is definitely formal and perfectly suited for any GRAND occasion: a ball, wedding, prom, evening at the opera, and more. Wear it, enjoy it and SAVE IT: it’s an heirloom piece bound to increase in value!
